Partner

Craig Bluestein, a partner at Bloom Peters, LLC, is a Fellow of the Academy of Adoption Attorneys and Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys.  He handles all aspects of family law matters from divorce and custody to adoptions and assisted reproductive technology (an emerging area of the law), intrastate and interstate, dependency, and terminations of parental rights, contested and uncontested and at the trial and appellate levels.  He and his colleagues at Bloom Peters, LLC continue to maintain a keen and avid interest in helping clients preserve and protect their highly valued relationships.

Mr. Bluestein maintains a practice in both Montgomery County and Monroe County and is currently a Custody Conciliator and part time Juvenile Court Hearing Officer in Monroe County. 

In addition to working directly with clients, Mr. Bluestein has shared his expertise with other practitioners and varied stakeholders at numerous conferences, serving both as chairperson and lecturer on adoption, dependency, delinquency, and family law related issues.  He has also served as an adjunct professor at Montgomery Community College teaching Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, and Juvenile Justice.   

Attorney Bluestein is a former Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Family Law Section and the Pennsylvania Bar Association Children’s Rights Committee.  He formerly served as the Chief of the Child Advocacy Division of the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office, where he acted as guardian ad litem and/or counsel in representing thousands of children at permanency, dependency, delinquency, termination of parental rights, contested and competing adoption matters, subsidy cases, and other legal proceedings. While at the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Bluestein served as a member of the Pennsylvania Advisory Committee to the Joint State Government Task Force on Adoption and the Task Force regarding Assisted Reproductive Technology Law. 

Bar and Court Admissions 

Mr. Bluestein is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Montgomery County and Monroe County Bar Associations.  He is currently the Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Monroe County Bar Association.  

Education 

Mr. Bluestein received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
